Read Your Way to Better English
People keep saying that readers are a useful and valuable tool for learning English, but how exactly do they help? More importantly, how can you, the teacher, make best use of them to maximise their value? In this hands-on, practical and fun session we will look at ways to exploit readers to encourage learning in a varied and motivating way. The workshop introduces participants to the reading roles and how students interact based on reading a story. At the end, you will be able to run your own Reading Circle and know which materials are available to use. We will also cover the importance of reading to the learning of English.
This workshop is kindly sponsored by Oxford publishing.
