February 11, 2023 : Classroom-based Assessment That Gives Voice and Choice to Learners

In this webinar we will look at specific corrective feedback techniques we can use in the classroom. For the first part of the webinar, we will reflect on alternative assessment tools within a critical pedagogy lens. For the second part of the webinar, we will explore QFT (Question Formation Technique) as a framework we can use to both teach and assess our learners in meaningful, learner-centered ways. We will look at a step by step QFT assessment design and then teachers will create their own tasks.

Bio: Maria (Phd ABD, MA TESOL, DELTA, BA Philosophy) is a teacher, teacher trainer, school owner, author and researcher. She travels around the world for talks and seminars. She runs her own school in Athens, promoting learner-centered pedagogies and teaches as an adjunct professor for 3 universities.
