Current major trends such as globalization, skilled labour shortages, digitalization and disruptive market changes reinforce effective Human Resource Management as a key necessity for successful business. The professorship should focus on international and sustainable Human Resource Management in innovative teaching and research. The successful candidate should have a broad knowledge of business administration and in-depth expertise, experience and/or evidence of academic publications in one or more of the following fields: sustainable HR, international recruiting and aptitude diagnostics, employee expatriation management, digital HR, workforce management and staffing and/or change management.

We are looking for candidates with several years of practical experience in HR management and/or as a strategic HR business partner, preferably with an active business network and a passion for teaching and knowledge transfer in higher education.

The successful candidate will

• be able to teach and research in English as well as in German with a high level of proficiency. German and English language skills should be at CEFR B2 level or higher.
• teach related subjects in other departments, as required.
• actively participate in the further development of the field, the internationalization of the department and the administration of the department.
• demonstrate commitment to applied research projects, in particular in the areas of innovative business management, technology and knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems and Management, Industrial Engineering or related field
• Pedagogical aptitude. Suitable candidates will be invited to give a guest lecture.
• Excellence in research, evidenced by the completion of a doctorate or equivalent academic publication.
• Established achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in professional practice for at least five years after the completion of university studies – of which at least three years must have been realised outside higher education. In special cases if, during a five year period, a significant part of the candidate’s professional experience has been gained in cooperation between a university and a professional environment this may be taken as comparable evidence of applied professional practice outside higher education.
