The Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt (KU) is a non-state university under church leadership and officially recognized by the Free State of Bavaria. Our KU University Language Center invites applications for a full-time position (100%) as
Lecturer for English
to be filled on a permanent basis starting October 1, 2026. The place of work shall be Eichstätt. The successful candidate will be employed in a private-law employment relationship, in which case remuneration will be according to pay grade E 13 TV-L provided that the requirements are met.
It is possible to split the position in two part-time positions (50%) under certain conditions.
Your tasks
- Organizing, planning and teaching of English language practice including regional studies (18 semester hours per week)
- Supporting and advising students
- Supervising the lecturers for English
- Creating and evaluating tests and (module) examinations
- Participating in the implementation of the English aptitude test procedure
- Issuing language certificates
- Participating in academic self-administration
Your profile
- Qualified academic degree, preferably in English/American Studies
- Native-level English language skills or level C2
- Good knowledge of German
- Experience in the field of foreign language teaching in higher education
- Experience in creating teaching materials, including the use of modern media and AI
- Ability to work in a team, organizational skills and willingness to work flexible hours
